The Dutch Way – Elite Summer Hockey Experience (Netherlands)
The Dutch Way is a fully residential, high-performance field hockey experience designed for ambitious international players who want to train inside the world’s leading hockey system.
For one week in July 2026, players will live, train, and compete in the Netherlands while working daily with experienced coaches and guest specialists who bring international and elite-level experience.
This is not a traditional hockey camp.
The Dutch Way is an immersive development experience designed to help players understand how the game is played, taught, and developed in the Netherlands — widely regarded as the strongest hockey nation in the world.
Throughout the week, players will experience the same training principles that have produced generations of world-class Dutch players.
What Players Will Experience
Players will take part in daily high-performance training sessions designed to improve technical ability, tactical understanding, and decision-making under pressure.
Training includes:
• Advanced technical skill development
• Dutch training methodology and playing principles
• Tactical education including pressing, transitions, and build-up play
• Structured video analysis sessions
• High-intensity match play
• Position-specific coaching
• Small-group feedback and individual development
Players don’t just repeat drills — they learn the “why” behind the game.
International Guest Coaches
During the week, players will also work with guest coaches who bring international and elite-level experience from different hockey environments. This provides players with multiple perspectives and deeper insight into high-performance hockey.
Dedicated Goalkeeper Development
Goalkeepers receive specialised coaching throughout the week.
Only 6 goalkeepers are accepted into the program, each working with a dedicated goalkeeper coach who focuses on technical development, game-reading, positioning, and high-pressure match situations.
This ensures meaningful individual feedback and position-specific development.
Living the Dutch Hockey Way
Players stay together in a fully supervised residential environment at the hockey club, creating a focused athlete experience both on and off the field.
The program includes:
• On-site accommodation
• Three daily meals plus snacks and drinks
• 24-hour supervision from experienced staff
• Evening activities and team-building events
• Video and classroom sessions
• Training and match play at a real Dutch hockey club
Players experience not only the training but the culture and environment that make Dutch hockey so successful.
