These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all use of the website https://www.thomsonhockey.com and to all products and services provided by Thomson Hockey, a business operating from the Netherlands.
By accessing this website, purchasing a product, or booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Refund & Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy, and any other policies published on this website.
1. About Thomson Hockey
Thomson Hockey provides:
Field hockey camps, clinics, and in-person training
Consultancy and professional services
Online courses and digital coaching content
Educational resources for players, coaches, schools, and clubs
All services are provided for sporting and educational purposes only.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or purchasing any product or service, you confirm that:
You have read and understood these Terms
You are legally capable of entering into a contract
You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use this website or purchase any services.
3. Age Requirements
You must be 18 years or older to enter into a contract with Thomson Hockey.
Participants under 18 years of age may only take part in activities with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on their behalf.
4. Bookings, Payments & Contracts
A contract is formed once payment has been successfully completed
All prices are shown in the applicable currency and may include VAT where required
Thomson Hockey reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings where necessary
Refunds, cancellations, and credits are governed exclusively by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Refunds & Cancellations
All refunds, cancellations, credits, and no-refund situations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
Refund rules vary by product type (camps, digital products, consultancy, international events).
6. Digital Products
Digital products include (but are not limited to):
Online courses
Memberships and subscriptions
Video libraries
PDFs, drill packs, and downloadable materials
Digital products are delivered immediately and are non-refundable, in accordance with Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek), where the right of withdrawal does not apply after delivery has begun with consumer consent.
All digital content is for personal use only and may not be shared, copied, or resold.
7. Consultancy & Professional Services
Consultancy and professional services are customised, time-based services and are non-refundable once:
The service has begun
Time has been scheduled or reserved
Work has been delivered in full or in part
Failure to attend scheduled consultancy sessions does not entitle the client to a refund.
8. Camps, Clinics & Physical Activity
Participation in sports and physical activity involves inherent risks, including injury.
By participating in any Thomson Hockey activity (in person or online), you acknowledge that:
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk
You are responsible for your own physical condition
Thomson Hockey does not provide medical advice
You must stop participation immediately if you experience pain, injury, or discomfort.
9. Medical Fitness & Pregnancy
You confirm that you are medically fit to participate in physical activity.
If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, you must seek medical approval before participating. Thomson Hockey accepts no liability for medical complications arising from participation.
10. Force Majeure
Thomson Hockey is not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Government restrictions
Public health emergencies or virus outbreaks (e.g. COVID-19)
Lockdowns, travel bans, or venue closures
In such cases, refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy, and participation may be deferred to a later date.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this website—including text, videos, drills, programs, branding, logos, and materials—is the intellectual property of Thomson Hockey.
You may not copy, distribute, modify, resell, or commercially exploit any content without prior written permission.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the website for unlawful purposes
Attempt to gain unauthorised access
Disrupt website functionality
Copy or scrape content
Misuse accounts or login credentials
Violation may result in suspension or termination of access.
13. Website Availability
Thomson Hockey does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website. Temporary downtime may occur for maintenance or technical reasons.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Dutch law:
Thomson Hockey is not liable for indirect or consequential damages
Liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant product or service
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for intent or gross negligence (opzet of grove schuld)
15. Privacy & Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our Privacy Policy, available as a standalone page on this website.
16. Termination
Thomson Hockey reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to services or the website in the event of misuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain fully effective.
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
