WE ARE ALL ABOUT CAMPS.

Home of the first overnight camp in Wisconsin USA 2022

The private school and club camps we run are amazing.

Thomson Hockey brings the Dutch style of hockey directly to you.

We work with clubs and school teams, delivering camps built around the topics you want to focus on. Whether that’s goal scoring, 3D skills, or specific tactical areas, we tailor the camp to your needs. If you’d like us to work with your team for 2, 3, or 4 days, we’ll design and deliver a programme that fits perfectly.

One of the key strengths of a Thomson Hockey camp is that control remains with the club or school coach. You decide how many days we are on site and what areas of the game you want us to address — from there, we take care of the planning, structure, and delivery.

At the end of the camp, the coach receives a drill book containing the exercises used during the camp, along with additional drills that can be used long after we leave. Coaches are also encouraged to be on the turf with the players, allowing them to observe, learn, and fully understand how and why we coach certain aspects of the game.

At Thomson Hockey, we believe in sharing knowledge and developing coaches as well as players, because when everyone learns, the game continues to grow.

Our Open Camps bring players together from a wide range of clubs and schools, creating a unique learning environment where athletes can experience the Dutch way of hockey alongside new teammates. Over the years, players from many different programmes have joined our camps, making each event a diverse and inspiring experience.

These camps are hosted at various locations, with venues changing each year to ensure we can bring high-quality hockey to as many players as possible. In the past, Thomson Hockey Open Camps have taken place in New Jersey, Chicago, and Wisconsin.

At every Open Camp, you’ll work with high-level coaches from Europe and beyond, all trained to deliver a professional, engaging, and challenging hockey experience. And goalkeepers are never forgotten — each Open Camp includes a dedicated goalkeeper coach, ensuring position-specific development and attention for everyone on the field.

Spend your days playing hockey, making new friends, staying up late, and doing it all again at one of our Thomson Hockey Overnight Camps. In 2022, Thomson Hockey delivered the first-ever overnight field hockey camp in the state of Wisconsin, creating an unforgettable week of hockey. Players joined us from across the USA — and even from different countries — making it a truly international experience.

At our overnight camps, players have the opportunity to work closely with high-quality players and European coaches on a daily basis, pushing their development to the next level. Each camp is built around a detailed technical plan, with players spending 5 to 6 hours per day on the field executing that plan through focused, game-based training.

Beyond the hockey, overnight camps offer something special. Players build strong friendships by living together, sharing meals, and taking part in fun, organised evening activities throughout the week. It’s a complete experience that develops players both on and off the field.

Overnight camp locations vary each year, so please keep an eye on the website for upcoming dates and locations.
