REFUND POLICY
1. General Principles
Effective since: 2022
Refund policies vary by product type due to differences in delivery, logistics, and third-party commitments
All refund terms are made available prior to purchase
Refunds are not automatic and must meet the conditions outlined below
Transaction and payment processing fees are non-refundable
2. School & Club Camps (Hosted Programs)
These camps are delivered in partnership with schools, clubs, or institutions and involve fixed venue, staffing, and scheduling commitments.
Refund Terms
More than 30 days before the start date:
→ Full refund (minus non-refundable transaction fees)
15–30 days before the start date:
→ 50% refund
Less than 15 days before the start date:
→ No refund
Additional Notes
No refunds for non-attendance or early departure
Refund requests must be submitted in writing
In some cases, refunds may be replaced by a credit, subject to agreement with the host organisation
3. Independent Thomson Hockey Camps
These camps are organised, marketed, and operated solely by Thomson Hockey.
Refund Terms
More than 30 days before the start date:
→ 80% refund
15–30 days before the start date:
→ 50% refund
Less than 15 days before the start date:
→ No refund
Transfers
Requests to transfer to another Thomson Hockey camp may be considered if submitted more than 15 days before the start date
Transfers are subject to availability and may include an administrative fee
4. International Camps (Travel Outside Home Country)
International camps involve travel, accommodation, staffing logistics, and third-party suppliers. As a result, stricter refund conditions apply.
Refund Terms
More than 45 days before the start date:
→ 50% refund
45 days or less before the start date:
→ No refund
Important Information
Travel, accommodation, flights, visas, insurance, and related costs are the sole responsibility of the participant
Thomson Hockey is not responsible for costs incurred through third-party providers
Participants are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance
5. Cancellation by Thomson Hockey
If Thomson Hockey cancels a camp or event due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to insufficient enrolment, venue issues, or operational constraints), participants will be offered either:
A full refund, or
A transfer or credit for an alternative camp or future date
Thomson Hockey is not liable for additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or insurance.
6. Medical Exceptions
Medical refund requests may be considered at the sole discretion of Thomson Hockey if:
A valid medical certificate is provided, and
Written notice is given prior to the start date
In such cases, a partial refund or credit may be offered.
7. No-Show Policy
Failure to attend a camp, event, or service without prior written cancellation will result in no refund.
8. Method of Refund
Approved refunds will be:
Issued to the original payment method, and
Processed within 14 business days
9. Digital Products – No Refund Policy
All digital products sold by Thomson Hockey are non-refundable.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Online courses
Memberships and subscriptions
Video libraries
PDFs, playbooks, drill packs, and downloadable materials
Once a digital product has been purchased and access has been granted or content has been downloaded, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply, in accordance with Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek).
By completing a digital purchase, the customer:
Consents to immediate delivery of digital content
Waives their statutory right of withdrawal
Accepts that no refunds, exchanges, or credits will be issued
10. Consultancy & Professional Services – No Refund Policy
All consultancy and professional services provided by Thomson Hockey are non-refundable.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Coaching consultancy
Technical management services
Club or school advisory work
Programme design, planning, or review services
Strategy sessions, meetings, or calls (online or in person)
Once consultancy work has:
Begun,
Been delivered (in whole or in part), or
Been scheduled and made available,
no refunds, exchanges, or credits will be issued.
11. Force Majeure & Public Health Restrictions
In the event that a camp, event, or program cannot take place due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Thomson Hockey, including but not limited to:
Government-imposed restrictions
Public health emergencies or virus outbreaks (e.g. COVID-19 or similar)
Lockdowns, travel bans, or mandatory venue closures
no refunds will be issued.
Deferred Participation / Credit
In such cases, affected participants will be granted:
Credit or access to attend the same or a comparable event at a later date, once it is legally and practically possible
Credits:
Have no cash value
Are non-transferable unless agreed otherwise
Must be used within a reasonable period as communicated by Thomson Hockey
Thomson Hockey is not responsible for additional costs incurred, including travel, accommodation, or insurance.
12. Acceptance of Policy
By purchasing any product or booking any service with Thomson Hockey, you confirm that you:
Have read this Refund & Cancellation Policy
Understand which section applies to your purchase
Agree to be bound by these terms
